First, what we do with scrap plastic

Plastic shredding and grinding

Plastics need to be resized to a smaller, more uniform state to be repurposed. When plastics are oversized, we begin the progress by first shredding the materials. Most products do not require shredding and can be granulated into regrind.

Extrusion and compounding of reprocessed resins 

Once a recycled plastic has been granulated, the fragments are cleaned again and then processed and extruded through melt filtration into high quality plastic pellets (resin) that we sell. During this process, we are able to create custom repro depending on the specific requirements of our customer.

Plastic/film bailing

When plastics such as films need to be kept in their original form to prevent them from damaging the environment we use a method called bailing. Bailing allows us to condense these plastics into tight bales that can be shipped easily to distant locations. Our processing facility also has the ability to convert film scrap into pellets.

Toll processing 

Some of our suppliers require their scrap to be converted to regrind and then shipped back to them for repurposing. This allows them to convert their scraps into usable product again.

Waste audits

We offer an extensive site evaluation of your facility to evaluate all your products that can be recycled. Often customers are not aware of all the plastic scraps that can be recycled. If we are not able to recycle some of your materials, we are often able to provide alternative and creative solutions allowing your business to be as efficient as possible. 

Collection containers/trailers

When you become one of our suppliers, we get you set up quickly with the number of Gaylord containers to fit your needs. For unique businesses that require more flexibility, we offer customized carts with wheels for easy manoeuvrability within your plant. For customers super tight on space that have a spare dock, we are pleased to provide a full size trailer connected to your vacant dock at no charge. This option creates significant square footage to collect your plastic recycling with great convenience. The only requirement is a minimal monthly pick up or a low monthly fee for less frequent users.

Trucking for all sized pick ups

We have a solid fleet with a variety of truck sizes with the ability to meet all your needs. It doesn’t matter whether you are a small shop with one pick up every couple of months or an expansive facility requiring multiple truckloads to be picked up weekly—we have you covered. We are a personable company that provides solutions that work for each of our valued customers.

Certificates of destruction

For product that we shred and/or regrind, we have the ability to produce a certificate of destruction to ensure the original product has been completely destroyed. Our plant has 24/7 video surveillance to ensure that your product came in our door and was destroyed giving you peace of mind. 

Recycling certificates

At the end of every year, we go through all our vendors, add up all the weights that we collected for them and send them a certificate letting them know how much of their waste plastic was recycled over the past year. This certificate is a meaningful asset for determining the impact on the our environment they have made. Many customers publish their stats on their website and in promotional collateral.

Automotive plastics recycling

Today’s vehicles have more plastic materials than ever before. In general, end-of-life parts are replaced rather than repaired, which generates a very large amount of waste for our environment. Millions of bumpers end up in landfills each year. These pieces take hundreds of years to break down, they are bulky and difficult to handle.

Our zero waste plastic recycling approach allows us to treat automotive plastics, such as bumpers, to eliminate their contamination, while producing a very high quality plastic material through our no-gas process.

Regrind and recycled repro (resin) for your needs

The post-industrial plastic that we receive within our facility is carefully inspected, sorted and converted into high quality regrind. When customers require extrusion and compounding of reprocessed resins, we are able to deliver. Our technicians have the ability to create virtually any custom compound and carefully inspect and approve each product for size, consistency and durability. Finished products (pellets and granules) are used by our customers for casting various plastic products.
